Denis Urubko has safely reached the Combined Military Hospital in Skardu, where doctors are now addressing his frostbitten hands. He arrived in town at almost 4 am after a challenging jeep journey from Jhola.

In the hospital, Urubko will undergo thorough medical examinations, and based on the diagnosis, he will make a decision about when to return to Islamabad. Early indications from doctors are positive, raising hope for a complete recovery, as reported by Urubko’s home team.

Despite facing continuous snowfall and poor visibility from Goro II (still located on the Baltoro Glacier) to the road’s end at Jhola, Urubko managed to complete the entire trip in just two days. Throughout this challenging journey, marked by a lack of rest and the onset of frostbite, Urubko remained determined. He has communicated with friends over the phone, conveying strength and confidence.
